Faithless in Glasgow

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:25 pm by Sam

Lee and I travelled to Glasgow in March to see Faithless at the SECC. I have uploaded the photos we took to my flickr account (link is on the left).

We stayed in a Crowne Plaza Hotel which was right next to the SECC and even had a walkway so we could get to the concert without braving the cold, wet weather. The hotel was very nice, I would recommend it if you are seeing a concert at the SECC. It was two train stops from town which we didn’t mind as the train was cheap and easy to use. I wasn’t very impressed with the hotel pool and gym – it was very small, dirty and full of people. We had a few days in Glasgow to view the sights so being the big kids that we are, we went over the river to the Science Center!

Faithless were amazing! It was the first gig I had ever been to and I had a great time. I enjoyed myself so much that I didn’t even mind the twats throwing beer and bashing into me. I can’t wait for the next one! Lee’s trying to persuade me to go to a festival next but I’m a bit worried about spending a night in a tent in a muddy field filled with drunk people pissing everywhere. Call me posh but I like 4 star hotels.

Lee and I have just returned from a week away in Prague, Vienna and Budapest. We had an amazing time and took over 600 photos! I am in the process of uploading them to Flickr but it might take some time as there are so many!!

You can see the photos I have already uploaded here.

Long Time No Blogging

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:49 am by Sam

This is my first blog entry for some months! I could make up hundreds of excuses about being busy at work, not having enough time, being away a lot but the real reason is that it became tedious keeping it up to date. Now that my long term engagement has ended, I am hoping that I will have a bit more interest in my blog and hopefully keep it up to date a bit better.

Now that I have reached 23, I have found out that life is no longer about going to the local student bar, getting up at 2pm and living off dirty takeouts. Recently I have felt like someone has pressed the fast forward button on the video tape of my life and now I am just waiting until I reach 40 and then start panicking about getting old and having done nothing with my life. I must be getting close to 40 already, I’m already starting to notice the beginnings of wrinkles!

On a brighter note – Lees back from Geneva! YAY! Although it means I no longer have the king sized bed all to myself which gets really irritating when I want to star fish. Subconsciously, I have been working on a plan to make Lee sleep on the floor by slowing pushing him closer and closer to the edge of the bed until he falls out. This plan was going great, he was down to sleeping on 1/8 of the bed but then last night, my plan backfired – Lee got out of bed but then walked over to my side and slept there for the rest of the night. I ended up spending the night with my head on his crusty, dribble soaked pillows. YUK!
